Press campaign grabs international attention
Cadmatic gets international coverage
The collaboration between INS and software company Cadmatic resulted in international interest in the Finnish company’s novel 3D computer aided design (CAD) software. Almost 300 publications worldwide received Cadmatic’s news about its pilot project that links a virtual 3D CAD program to a manufacturing company’s maintenance system.
The pilot project was able to demonstrate that the software really simplified installation and maintenance planning of the company’s production system and reduced maintenance costs over the life span of the system. This helped the company introduce the CADMATIC maintenance concept, which integrates CAD with maintenance systems such as SAP R/3.
“It was the first time we tried this kind of collaboration with a professional company in the information sector,” says Jukka Rantal, head of marketing. “It created significant interest in different parts of the world and generated many new contacts, particularly in central Europe.”
An INS follow-up estimated that around 1.5 million readers were reached by the press campaign.
